The Import & Logistic supervisor will prepare commercial documents for shipments to international customers. Work with Shipping Department and other departments to ensure that commercial documents accurately reflect the physical shipment with regard to country or origin, status, and Resolve discrepancies and, where possible, determine and implement process to prevent recurrence and responsible for day to day activities as well as managing relationships with Import and Export suppliers. Assist Procurement Manager on strategic issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Handling import shipments Air / Sea LCL & FCL 

Graduate (minimum qualification) 

Knowledge in import logistics, documentation, customs & clearance Job Responsibility 

Planning, organizing & managing day to day import operation 

Booking all orders from Sales team for import orders 

Communicate with overseas suppliers for procurement / shipment 

Import logistics & rate negotiations with freight forwarders/ courier for freight Air & Sea 

Import Pre-shipment/ post shipment documentation 

Coordinate with Accounts team for remittance/ submissions of bill of entry to bank against import orders 

Monitoring/ tracking shipments in transit with freight forwarders / courier on day to day basis 

Coordination with CHA for custom clearance and delivery of goods Port/ Airport 

Prepare purchase sheets and data sheets for all shipments 

Find HS Codes, duty structure with tariff book 

Monitor & control shipments against loss or damage in transit / warehouse or during delivery to customer 

Coordinating with sales team & operations staff for delivery to customer 

Reporting on a daily basis to the management with daily 

Capacity to work independently & with team for all imports shipments At least 2 years in handling import documentation and Air/ Sea shipments
A formal graduate qualification

At least 3-5 years experience in imports

Ability to meet demanding deadlines

High degree of accuracy, problem solving.

Leadership, Decision making ability, communication skills.

Interpersonal skills.

Manage import staffs evaluate and monitor activities.

Familiarity with international documentation,

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)

Portuguese language knowledge preferred.

Some African working experience preferred
