Chief Electrical Engineer
Lead Electrical Engineer
Design, specification and services relating to Electrical engineering for both offshore and onshore oil & gas and petrochemical developments. Directly supervising a group of engineers within one discpline, carries out duties in a project design environment, working to a defined budget and programme, produces associated engineering deliverables to the appropriate industry standard. Nature of projects will range from single discipline studies to full multi-discipline detailed designs. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job responsibilities include:
The role is primarily leading the team of Electrical engineers/designers on the project and overall technical delivery and quality of work executed by the team 
Provide discipline specific support to SKLLC Operations Manager and Engineering Manager as requested including the following.
Responsible for employee performance appraisals and coaching and developing all direct reports within the discipline team as requested
Responsible for budget and discipline team man hours executed by the discipline on the project
Responsible for resolving and providing solutions to highly complex technical problems encountered on Projects
Primary client interface 
Support SKLLC Operations Manager and Engineering Manager to identify skill shortages within the Civil/structural team and establish strategies for removing these gaps in Baku, consistent with SKLLC business plan

REQUIREMENTS
Current experience with design contractors in the oil and gas industry
Excellent leadership skills
Good working knowledge of Electrical design at 132kV to 400V.
Capable of hand calculations to verify the system design of check system studies
Experience in offshore and /or onshore oil and gas industry 
Able to communicate effectively and multi-task
Skills are typically acquired through a Bachelors/Master degree in Electrical Engineering subject with relevant industry experience
Chartered engineer status with a relevant professional body
Lead Piping Designer
Chief Piping Designer
The role is primarily leading the team of Piping Engineering/ designers on the project and overall technical delivery and quality of work executed by the Piping design team.
Provide discipline specific support to SKLLC Operations Manager and Engineering Manager as requested including the following.
To provide technical and administrative oversight of the piping design group in the Baku Execution Centre
Support SKLLC Operations Manager for providing discipline specific inputs for the training and development programmes as requested.
To develop, implement and manage strategies and organisational plans for Piping Engineering/ design teams involvement in project execution consistent with established Company business plans, training objectives and Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
To identify innovative methods of improving the execution of PEG activities on all SKLLC projects
Support resource planning and recruitment activities for Piping engineering/ design team as requested by Engineering Manager or Operations Manager
Identify, develop and complete work improvement programmes.
Select, develop, direct and mentor key members of the process team.
Support SKLLC Operations Manager and Engineering Manager to identify skill shortages within the Piping team and establish strategies for removing these gaps in Baku, consistent with SKLLC business plan.
Provides technical direction over a group and is responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower level professionals. 
Plans, budgets, organizes, and controls an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope. 

Technical and Academic Requirements:
Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years.
Knowledge of Offshore engineering and design projects is essential.
Good knowledge of 3D Modelling systems would be preferred.
As would knowledge of the following languages Azeri and Russian.
Supervisory Skills
Must have ability to effectively co ordinate the efforts of assigned personnel and have demonstrated administrative leadership and skills, maintaining effective working relations with others as required.
Requires the ability to co ordinate and maintain effective working relationships with the management of SKLLC as well as KBR LOC team in general.
Responsible for guiding and developing the skills of subordinates for the benefit of the Company and of the individual.
An ability to make presentations to SKLLC management and third party companies is a requirement
Lead Mechanical Engineer
Chief Mechanical Engineer
Responsible for the design, specification, selection, and services relating to mechanical equipment such as rotating machinery, pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment, utility equipment, packaged units, material handling and solids processing systems. 
Supervises and leads a group of engineers. Provides technical direction over a group and is responsible for coaching and developing lower level professionals. Plans, budgets, organises, and controls an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program. Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and man-hour budget. 
The role of a lead mechanical engineer is highly valued within KBR and involves extensive interface with the client, project management, suppliers, corporate management, and the global team of mechanical engineers employed in SKLLC as well as throughout KBRs worldwide offices.
The minimum qualification requirements for this position are a first degree in Mechanical Engineering and a full professional qualification as a Chartered Engineer (full member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or a recognised equivalent).
The required competency and skills would typically have been built up working for a consultant engineering company, or end user company. Personnel would be expected to have a varied and extensive experience of leading mechanical teams in the onshore and offshore oil and gas project environment to include concept, front end engineering design, detailed design, commissioning, and operations. 
A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types, to include machinery, and fabricated or packaged equipment, is required. Field experience in the manufacturing, performance testing, commissioning, and trouble shooting of mechanical systems is strongly desired. Also required is a working knowledge of industry standards for oil and gas equipments and the ability to develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines.
At this level, the individual will provide effective technical leadership via the participation in formal technical networks and work groups. They will provide essential technical leadership and assurance services to our clients and project teams, requiring the management of changing deadlines and priorities. The selected person will also be able to develop and deliver technical training for graduates, project work groups, and clients
Lead Process Engineer

Chief Process Engineer
The role is primarily leading the team of process engineers on the project and overall technical delivery and quality of work executed by the Process team as well as providing discipline specific support to SKLLC Operations Manager and Engineering Manager as requested including the following.
To provide technical and administrative oversight of the process engineering group in the Baku Execution Centre
Support SKLLC Operations Manager for providing discipline specific inputs for the training and development programmes as requested.
To develop, implement and manage strategies and organisational plans for Process engineering teams involvement in project execution consistent with established Company business plans, training objectives and Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.

PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING
Apply their extensive experience and knowledge to the analysis of problems and to the determination of strategies and plans for specific projects and circumstances, to translate concepts into practical working solutions for complex problems and issues and to ensure that solutions and decisions are consistent with the Company's business aims and objectives.
Work closely with the KBR LOC Training and Development Manager to ensure the effective training of all members of Process engineering team.
TECHNICAL AND ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
BSc. Degree in Engineering or equivalent as a minimum. Preferably a Chartered Chemical Engineer.
Twenty or more years of progressive applicable experience with at least fifteen years' experience of Engineering in the Hydrocarbon or related industries and at least ten years' experience in a significantly responsible management position.
Extensive Upstream Oil & Gas project experience is preferable. Experience in Caspian Sea development is beneficial but not must.

The role is primarily leading the team of Structural engineers/designers on the project and overall technical delivery and quality of work executed by the team 
Provide discipline specific support to SKLLC Operations Manager and Engineering Manager as requested including the following.
To provide technical and administrative oversight of the structural engineering/design group in the Baku Execution Centre
Support SKLLC Operations Manager for providing discipline specific inputs for the training and development programmes as requested.
To develop, implement and manage strategies and organisational plans for the discipline teams involvement in project execution consistent with established Company business plans, training objectives and Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
To identify innovative methods of improving the execution of civil/structural activities on all SKLLC projects
Support resource planning and recruitment activities for the discipline as requested by Engineering Manager or Operations Manager
Identify, develop and complete work improvement programmes.
Select, develop, direct and mentor key members of the civil/structural team.
Support SKLLC Operations Manager and Engineering Manager to identify skill shortages within the Civil/structural team and establish strategies for removing these gaps in Baku, consistent with SKLLC business plan.
Provide feedback and inputs for the performance review of the Process engineering team members as requested.

Academic and Technical Requirements

It is expected that candidates will have the following as a minimum;
Masters degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 12 years post graduate working experience
Chartered status
Ability to supervise junior engineers and designers
Experience of site/field supervision and technical support is expected. Experience of applying a range of international design codes and standards is also expected.
Industry experience
Experience in the oil and gas industry is of primary interest, including offshore structural engineering and pipeline engineering, 
A wide range of experience of project phases from feasibility, conceptual, FEED to EPC is preferred, 
Discipline experience
For the majority of positions the basic requirement is for experience in the detailed design of the following;
Steel structures onshore and offshore
o Piperacks
o Equipment structures
o Topsides platforms and supporting jackets
o Connections bolted and welded
o Stick built and modular systems
Familiarity and experience in the following areas will be beneficial but not must
Concrete structures;
o Foundations
o Pits, basins
o Buildings
o Retaining walls
o Table tops, platforms
Experience in one or more of the following specialist design areas would be advantageous;
Geotechnics
Underground utility layout and design
Building design in particular plant buildings for administration, control rooms, maintenance, equipment shelters, substations, instrument rooms, etc.
Site preparation earthworks, security, temporary construction facilities, etc
Nearshore marine facilities jetties, materials handling, shore protection, seawater intakes/outfalls, etc
Blast design
Dynamic loading design.
